The 2027 Light The Way Dance Convention is back after the incredible success of the past four years. The convention will once again gather the biggest names in the business where the true legends of Australian dance will teach masterclasses, Q&A industry panels, once-in-a-lifetime performance opportunities and more. This event has strictly limited numbers and workshops are about quality, not quantity. The students will dance in Australia’s newest state-of-the-art theatre, Coliseum Theatre and the adjoining West HQ that has the capacity to cater to workshops and shows.

& SHOWCASE GALAS
As well as four days of workshops, we also have two Performing Arts Galas on Friday 23 July & Saturday 24 July 2027 with state-of-the-art production in the multi-million-dollar Coliseum Theatre. Providing opportunities for Australian performing arts schools to come together and perform on the same billing as industry greats and working professionals. Our event is about bringing the industry together and inspiring and educating the next generation of Australian dancers.
Thursday is specifically geared for pre-professional and full-time performing arts students. The day will entail a series of workshops with industry greats and a mock audition with LTW Co-Producer Industry Icon Kelley Abbey.
Friday is specifically geared for pre-professional and full-time performing arts students. The day will entail a series of masterclasses with our incredible faculty: Jazz, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Lyrical Contemporary, Latin & Tap.
This evening our Create The Way Performing Arts Gala will take place at the Sydney Coliseum Theatre – bringing together industry greats as well as 1500 performers from studios all over Australia including the finals of our new choreographic competition Create The Way.
Today students of all ages will take part in workshops with our incredible faculty either in the Sydney Coliseum Theatre or the adjoining West HQ. Come and see the greats of the industry inspire and show how they are lighting the way for the next generation.
